- Step 1 (Set up area): Put the couch role on the table and layout all the equipments.
- Step 2 (Health and Hygiene): Tell the model that you are going to wash your hands before getting started so they aware of that. Ask the model if they have any allergies and if they wear contact lenses.
- Step 3: Stand behind the model and use the clips to remove all the hair from the face. This will help not to get the hair greasy from the product. Ask the model to close their eyes during the process which is more comfortable for them.
- Step 4 (Cleansing): Put cleanser onto two cotton pads and start from the center of the face moving outward in upward motions. Cleanse the whole face by removing all apparent makeup, tilt the head up to reach the neck area and behind the ears. For the eye area, either use a baby bud to remove the majority of the eye makeup along the eye line or ask the model to remove the eye makeup. It will be more comfortable to ask the model to look up when removing the eye makeup.
- Step 5 (Toning): Put toner onto the cotton pad and apply it over the
face in upward motions. Tilt the head up to access the neck area.
- Step 6 (Moisturizer): Put a small amount of moisturizer on the finger and use cotton pad to brush it over the face and neck in upward motions. If the skin is really dry, suggest to do an exfoliation treatment. Moisturizer helps to smooth the skin and hydrates.

My thoughts
about the lesson:
I enjoy the
process of removing the makeup from my partner’s face and I found the most
difficult part of the process is to do the cleansing part. It is very
challenging because it is hard to remove all
the makeup from Liliana’s face (especially the
foundation on her face). During this lesson, I have learnt the way how to remove the makeup and
apply toner and moisturizer with upward motions.
