Equipments:

  • An apron
  • Cotton pads
  • Cotton buds
  • Water
  • Pritt stick
  • Metal spatula
  • Steel palette
  • Loose powder
  • A puff
  • White base
  • A foundation brush
  • Powder brushes
  • Eye shadow brushes
  • Angle brushes
  • Concealer palette
  • Eye shadow palette
  • Lip palette
  • Supracolor palette
  • Blush palette
  • Pearls

Step 1: Setting up the area and get all the products ready. Ask model if she has any allergies and was she wearing contact lenses. Told the model that you are going to wash your hands before getting started. Put the apron on the model. Clip the model’s hair away from the face as not to make her hair greasy and then cleanse tone and moisturize the model’s face before applying makeup. Make sure the eyebrows are clean and dry. You can apply the toner before getting started to make sure the eyebrows are clean.

2: Use the metal spatula to scrape out some glue. Remember to apply quickly on the brows as the glue will dry quickly. Apply the glue using the metal spatula so the glue will not stick on your fingers.
3: Apply the glue on the eyebrows in opposite directions to the hair growth first and then directions to the hair growth. This will make sure all the areas on the brows are cover with glue and smooth the hairs down (making the brows go flat and smooth). Press hardly on the eyebrows with your finger following the directions of the hair growth, to make the hairs are as flat as possible. Use the cotton bud and wet it with water to remove excess glue around the eyebrows. Repeat applying the glue and press the eyebrows hardly until the hairs are as flat and as smooth as you want it to be. After completed one side of the eyebrow, do the other side as well.
4: Apply primer on the whole face and when the glue is a little bit tacky, apply powder and press on top of it with a puff.
5: Apply the red concealer onto the eyebrows to cover the dark colour on the brows and then apply white base with foundation brush to the eyebrows, face, neck and ears. Use a powder brush to blend the white base nicely. Apply loose powder onto the whole face, neck and ears.
6: Apply contouring to the face (the colour Sage Blossom from the Kryolan- Viva brilliant color medley matt) on the forehead and under the cheekbones to form a heart shape.

7: Use the Chive Blossom from the Kryolan – Viva Color Medley Matt shadow and apply it onto the forehead underneath the blue contouring to smooth the lines and texture and blend the two colours together.

8: Apply the black eyeliner on the lid and extend the lines above the eyebrows (4 lines on each eye).

9: Apply pink blusher (Kryolan R21) on the apples of the cheeks and blend it with the blue contouring.

10: Use the duo eyelash adhesive glue and apply the pearls on the black eyeliner flick (Put the big pearls on the end of the eyeliner flick).

11: Put three medium pearls underneath each eye and then put two small pearls under the medium pearls on each eye and after that, put one pearl under the two small pearls on each eye (forming an upside down triangle sha
12: Apply the red lipstick colour LC008 from the lip palette onto the lips using an angle brush.
Before

Thoughts about the lesson: My partner has changed her idea back to her original design and decided to apply the pink blush beside the pearls rather than applying it under the pearls. Also, she has asked me to put pink blush on the forehead blending with the blue colour and don't apply the pink blush in the middle of the forehead, leaving white so you can see the blue colour creates a heart shape ( shown on the photos from above). In order to improve next time, I should draw the eyeliner flick more accurately as you can see on the photo, the first eyeliner flick on the left, I have drawn it wrong and it appears two lines which I cant cover it back as I have powder the whole face before drawing the eyeliner flicks. Also, I should blend the face with the powder brush more so to give a nicer finish on the face. This time, I have used the red colour on the concealer palette to cover the colour on the brows first before applying the white base. I found it very difficult to cover the red colour after applying the white base and it makes the area go pink in colour, so I have decided not to use the red concealer next time.
